Using a case study-based approach, the aim of this course is to demonstrate how CVD risk is assessed and managed.

• Recognise how to use CVD risk assessment tools in different patient groups
• Be aware of the role of medication in reducing CVD risk
• Consider how to follow up patients and optimise management
• Evaluate the role of international guidance in managing CVD risk
